Athlon Sports and Lindy’s sports magazine both have Nevada as this year's mountain west conference champions.
The magazines also list Boise state senior forward Chandler Hutchison as the conference player of the year.
Hutchison was named to the all-mountain west first team and second team. He started every game last season and had six games with 20 points or more.
Boise State begins the season in November in an exhibition contest versus the College of Idaho.
