BSU softball team tops Portland State, falls to Idaho State
Patton carries no-hit bid into 5th inning
Boise State (11-15) split another pair of games at the SpringHill Suites Invitational Saturday, falling 6-4 to Idaho State and edging out Portland State 2-1.
The Broncos surrendered a lead-off home run against the Bengals and never recovered to take the lead. However, Boise State's Tara Glover recorded four hits in the loss, tying a school record.
Pitcher Rebecca Patton carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning of the nightcap and only surrendered three hits in the win over Portland State. Devon Bridges clubbed a two-RBI single with the bases loaded in the third, providing BSU's only offense.
The Broncos will wrap up their first home tournament of the year Sunday, with games at 2PM and 4PM.
