(3) Idaho survived a scare from (6) San Jose State Wednesday afternoon. The Vandals topped the Spartans 57-55, thanks to a buzzer-beating lay-up by Krissy Karr.

Karr scored ten points for the Vandals, while Stacey Barr led the Vandals with 17.

SJSU (11-19, 8-10 WAC) led Idaho (15-15, 11-7 WAC) 33-28 at half time and had a chance to regain the lead in the final seconds of the second half, but Riana Byrd missed a pair of free throws to keep the game tied at 55, which set up Karr's winning lay-up.

With the win, the Vandals advance to Friday's Western Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals.
