Granstrom top skier at Jackson Hole Town Downhill
JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) -- U.S. Ski team member Colby Granstrom was the fastest skier at this year's Jackson Hole Town Downhill.
Granstrom, of Lake Stevens, Wash., had a combined time of 1 minute 37 seconds in his two runs down the course at Snow King Mountain Sunday. Miles Fink-Debray of Sun Valley, Idaho took second place and Jackson Hole Ski Club coach Zach Schwartz finished in third.
Granstrom has been recovering from double knee surgery. He said Fink-Debray told him about the event and decided it would be a good way to get back into racing.
The race is nicknamed the mini-Hahnenkamm (HAHN'-ehn-kahm), after a World Cup downhill race in Austria known for being the most terrifying on the circuit.
