Stampede acquire former BSU star Reggie Larry
BOISE, Idaho -- The Idaho Stampede have acquired ReggieLarry, the club and its NBA affiliate Portland Trail Blazers announcedtoday. Pending a physical, Larry (6-6, 225, Boise State, b. 10/20/86) willbe with the team for this weekend's contests against the Santa CruzWarriors. Idaho plays Saturday (7 p.m.) and Sunday (3:30 p.m.).
Larry joins former Boise State stars Jason Ellis and Coby Karl on the Stampede roster, giving the Boise-based team three former Broncos.
Larry played 45 games (19 starts) for the Stampede last season averaging 7.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game (.563 FG%).
Larry played for the College of Southern Idaho, and averaged 15.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game as a sophomore before transferring to Boise State. While with the Broncos, Larry averaged 14.1 points and 8.1 rebounds as a junior and 19.4 points and 9.2 rebounds per game (.430 3FG%) as a senior in
2007-08, leading the Broncos to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 14 years and just their fifth appearance in school history.
In order to make room on the roster, the team put Sean Evans on the inactive list due to injury (wrist).
