Broncos: 3-4 in Mountain West
The Boise State men’s basketball team upset UNLV 77-72 Saturday night in front of a crowd of 9,356 at Taco Bell Arena.
The victory was just the Broncos’ second all-time against the Runnin’ Rebels.
Anthony Drmic scored a team-high 22 points, while Derrick Marks added 17 in his return from illness. Jeff Elorriaga scored 11 points and chipped in 5 assists after missing time with a concussion.
The win was Boise State’s third of the season against Mountain West competition, matching last year’s total. It also marked Leon Rice’s 50th win as head coach at BSU.
Boise State is now 15-6 overall and will face (22) San Diego State on the road Wednesday.
