Big crowd expected against LSU
Over 10,000 tickets already sold
The Bronco basketball team is expecting its best crowd of the season Friday night, when Boise State hosts LSU.
Over 10,000 tickets have been sold for BSU's first home game against an SEC opponent in school history. The Broncos fell 64-45 in Louisiana last season, the only previous matchup between the two.
Head coach Leon Rice has been talking about building a home court advantage all season, and he's hoping his Broncos get a taste of that tomorrow.
"Since I've been here," laughed Rice, "The biggest game we had was Idaho, and sometimes there were a lot of people dressed in black. This will be 10,000 BSU fans."
Rice cautioned that his team isn't treating the game any differently, despite the advantage of having a full arena.
"Whether it's for 1, 1000, or 10,000 our job is the same, and that's the way we're going to approach it. We're not going to just try to play our hardest when 10,000 are here and not play good when the crowds are down."
