It's common to pick up an extra job this time of year to make ends meet around the holidays. Chris Petersen is no exception. He's the head coach of the Broncos, and seemingly the future head coach of every other football team with a vacancy.

The latest rumor has Petersen in line to replace Bret Bielema as head coach at Wisconsin. Bielema left the Big Ten for Arkansas and SEC country last week.

A few websites linked Petersen to an interview in Madison on Monday, but Boise State Athletic Director Mark Coyle shot down the new rumor, saying he hadn't heard anything about an interview, and that Petersen was at practice Monday morning.

"That stuff kind of gets out there, whether it be in chat rooms and so forth," said Coyle. "This may sound strange, but I can't worry about that stuff. I can't control that stuff. All I can do is do everything to help this program go forward."

"I honestly believe that Coach Petersen knows that we're committed to him, his program, and the culture he's created here."

Coyle emphasized that he and Petersen have a good relationship, and a discussion about potentially leaving the program has never come up. Petersen is obligated to give 24 hours notice before talking with another school about job openings.
