Broncos improve to 20th in BCS Standings
Non-AQ Kent State 17th
Boise State's BCS Bowl hopes were rekindled over the weekend by a slew of key losses around the world of college football, including the defeats of the seven teams ranked directly ahead of the Broncos.
However, despite receiving a perfect storm of assistance, BSU only moved up two spots to 20th in the latest BCS standings. It now seems likely that the Broncos are bound for the MAACO Bowl in Las Vegas for the second year in a row.
The likelihood of that event was increased two-fold today- Nevada accepted an invite into the Gildan New Mexico Bowl, which would've been the Broncos primary back-up plan. Also, the MAACO Bowl announced it will select either Boise State or Fresno State, since San Diego State is likely headed to the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl.
