The Weiser River has passed flood stage and the National Weather Service has increased its forecast for how far the water will rise today.

As of 5 a.m. the Weiser River had hit 10.1 feet.  Flood stage is officially 9.5 feet.  The NWS says minor flooding is already taking place.

They now also project the water will reach 11.5 feet later this morning, though the river is expected to fall back below flood stage by tomorrow.

The NWS also warns if waters were to reach the 12 feet mark significant flooding is a possibility in Weiser and Midvale, but again, those levels are still almost two feet away.
