We could start seeing fewer city buses on Caldwell Boulevard but ValleyRide says proposed changes will attract more riders. ValleyRide has finished up two days of public meetings to get impute on proposed changes to the bus routes in Canyon County.

The proposals are designed to give better access to key destinations like the Treasure Valley Market Place, the VA Clinic, and the Department of Labor and Health and Welfare. The changes are budget neutral and project leaders are looking at having less frequent service on Caldwell Boulevard and removing service on the North Caldwell Loop.

"One of the limiting factors we have right now is simply not having enough resources to serve the community the way they have been asked to be served. But we do believe we can improve the network that's out there," said Stephen Hunt a principal planner at Valley Regional Transit.

ValleyRide is looking for public comment until August 7th. If the changes go through they be implemented at the start of 2018.
