Flood waters continued to rise overnight in an Eagle mobile home park and while no mandatory evacuation orders are in effect many residents have chosen to leave the Riviera Estates anyway.

An Eagle police officer we spoke with Thursday morning says even without a mandatory evacuation order crews are urging people to leave the area off Hatchery Road near Eagle Island State Park.  While many have already left there are still some people staying in the park.

At this point electricity has been cut off to some homes in the park but not all.  The gas company has also been on site considering whether or not gas services will have to be shut down.

The Red Cross has opened a shelter to help people that have been displaced by the flooding.  They can go to the Eagle Nazarene Church at 1001 W. State Street if they need a place to stay.
