The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that two people have died following a crash near White Bird, Idaho.

Dispatch was informed at approximately 8:05 a.m., February 11th that a vehicle was off the roadway on Deer Creek Road.

A 1997 Dodge pickup had been southbound on Deer Creek Road and failed to negotiate a curve at milepost 5.9.

The vehicle left the roadway and rolled multiple times until stopping approximately 225 feet down a ravine.

Dustin L. Stamper, 31, of Grangeville and Colin G. Sprute, 48, of Orofino had both been ejected and died at the scene. Deputies believe the crash occurred sometime during the night.

Neither truck occupant were wearing seatbelts and deputies believe that alcohol could have been a factor.
