Beginning Friday, the Union Pacific Railroad will be replacing railroad ties and resurfacing railroad crossings at several locations in the Kuna area.
The work means the Ada County Highway District will be closing roads at the following locations:
--The Bridge Avenue crossing between Avalon Street and Main Street will be done on Friday (May 20).
--The Swan Falls Road crossing between Avalon Street and Shortline Street will be done on Saturday (May 21).
--Locust Grove Road between King Road and Kuna Mora Road will be done on Sunday (May 22).
--and Eagle Road between Kuna Mora Road (eastbound) and Retriever Run Lane/Kuna Mora Road (westbound) will be done on Monday (May 23).
"Roads will be closed at all of the above locations, and detour signs will be in place,” said ACHD spokeswoman Nicole DuBois.
Drivers can expect delays, and should plan alternate routes of travel whenever possible, she added.
