Three people have been arrested in what Boise Police say was a stolen check scheme.

Shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday, Boise Police officers responded to a call of a possible fraud in progress at a bank near the intersection of Kootenai Street and Vista Avenue.

Bank employees called police after a woman allegedly tried to cash a check that had been reported stolen.

Officers later found the woman, as well as two others, in a vehicle in the bank’s parking lot. According to a Boise Police Department news release, officers located evidence the three were each in possession of separate stolen checks or transaction cards. “Evidence indicates the stolen items were taken from different residential mailboxes in Boise over the past month,” the release stated.

Officers arrested Summer H. Everson, 19; Michelle A. Case, 40; and Andrew G. Moore, 39. All are from Boise. Everson and Case each face charges of felony forgery and felony grand theft; Moore is charged with three counts each of felony forgery and felony grand theft.

All were booked into the Ada County Jail.
