For the first time in nine years, Tamarack Resort will offer mountain bikers the opportunity to ride the Tamarack Express chairlift and utilize the trail system that has been shut down since 2007.

The planned opening will be on Saturday, June 25th and the lifts will run on Saturdays and Sundays through September 4th.

The trail system was initially constructed in the mid-2000s at a cost of roughly $2 million until it was shut down in 2007.  Now, the resort is making major improvements to the trail system and will give mountain bikers the opportunity to ride 1,700 vertical feet to the base of the resort.

“We were met with a lot of enthusiasm by the mountain biking community when we introduced the bike park shuttle last year and this year we want to deliver more. By offering lift service, improving our trail system and adding new features, we’re hoping to bring something new and exciting to the bike community,” said Brad Larsen, General Manager of Tamarack Resort.

A full season pass for unlimited mountain biking will cost $99 plus tax if purchased before Monday, June 20. On June 21, pass rates will increase to $129 plus tax.
