Suspect arrested in Caldwell drive-by shooting

A Boise man has been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting in Caldwell.

Officers say the shooting took place on North Illinois Avenue Monday night.

Caldwell Police detectives identified one of the suspect as Roberto Angel Ballesteros.

About 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, they located Ballesteros at a hotel on South Entertainment Avenue in Boise. With the help of Boise Police officers, Ballesteros was taken into custody.

Detectives say Ballesteros was also found in possession of methamphetamine.

He was booked into the Ada County Jail for aiding and abetting aggravated assault, aiding and abetting shooting into an occupied vehicle, and felony Possession of a controlled substance.
