Sketch released of sexual assault suspect

Boise Police officers are asking the public for help to find a suspect involved in a reported sexual assault.

The incident occurred on Sunday, January 31st at approximately 2:45 a.m. near West Hickory Court and North Wheaton Lane.

A woman told police she was walking in the area when the suspect grabbed her from behind, threw her onto the ground and sexually assaulted her.

The woman was able to return home and went to the hospital the following the day.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned man in his mid to late thirties, with scruffy facial hair, and an approximately inch-long scar on his left cheek.  The suspect was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, a baseball cap underneath the hood, as well as jeans.

Anyone with any information about the man or the assault is asked to notify Boise Police by calling non-emergency dispatch at 377-6790 or Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
