Three juvenile girls accused of damaging more than 100 headstones in a southeast Idaho cemetery are now facing charges.

Bonneville County Prosecutor Danny Clark tells the Post Register that each of the girls has been charged with felony malicious injury to property.

Idaho Falls spokeswoman Kerry Hammon says damage is estimated at $100,000 to 104 headstones and other property.

The damage occurred on May 7th at the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Normally, prosecutors do not release information about cases involving juveniles, but Clark says the publicity and outrage surrounding the vandalism made it appropriate to release details.
