Meridian is standing up against cancer. The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life is happening at Lowell Scott Middle School.
From 6PM Friday night, till 7AM on Saturday morning, cancer survivors and their supporters will be walking around the athletic track. They are doing it all to raise money to help find a cure. Organizers say that 33 teams have already raised close to 64 thousand dollars. Over the course of the event.
Participants will not only be walking around the track but also playing fun games and listening to live music. There's even going to be a silent auction, event planners say every donation helps.
