James Drake, 55, of Meridian was booked into the Ada County Jail Tuesday night after police say they found images on his computer of a nude underage girl.

According to Meridian Police Deputy Chief Tracy Basterrechea, in March of last year, a family member of the victim found nude photos of the girl on Drake’s personal computer.

The family member then contacted police.

The victim was only identified as being younger than sixteen.

“The photos were taken in Drake’s Meridian residence unbeknownst to the victim,” Basterrechea stated.

Drake and the victim knew each other, reports said.

“After conducting computer forensics and collecting other evidence, Drake was indicted by an Ada County Jury,” Basterrechea stated.

Police do not believe there are any other victims.

Drake faces two counts of video voyeurism, three counts of possessing sexually exploitative material involving a minor, and two counts of permitting a minor to engage in or be used for sexually exploitative material. All are felonies.

According to court documents, Drake posted bond Wednesday and was released from jail.
