Boise Police officers have arrested a man after he refused to come out of a home in the 4000 block of East Chester Street, off Pennsylvania Street in southeast Boise.

The situation began about 1:45 Thursday morning, according to an Ada County dispatch supervisor.

The man was wanted on a warrant, the dispatcher said.

New Horizons and Little Tykes daycares are both in the neighborhood, one located next to the house.

Both were temporarily put on “shelter in place” -– which means no one was allowed to enter or leave –- while the stand-off was underway.

Witnesses say police blocked traffic at the intersection of Pennsylvania Street and Boise Avenue.

The man’s name was not immediately available.

We’ll have more details as they become available.
