Boise Police are investigating a deadly crash between a car and a pedestrian that happened shortly before 7 pm on Sunday.
At 6:47 p.m. police responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash near S. Maple Grove and W. Brookview Ct.
Witnesses say an older white pickup truck was traveling southbound on Maple Grove when the driver left the roadway and struck a pedestrian on the sidewalk. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was cooperating with police and taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
According to Boise police, the investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.
Maple Grove was closed in both directions and Idaho Power has been called because of a downed power line.
