A Boise woman, who is a public supporter of President Obama, is allegedly attacked by vandals.

She said someone spray-painted her garage door.  The graffiti spelled out Former Presidential Candidate Newt Gingrich with an obvious misspelling.

The woman believes she was targeted because she's an avid supporter of Barack Obama, and she has an ‘Obama 2012’ sticker in plain sight on her car.

She said she now fears for her safety, so she wants to remain nameless.  At the same time, she wants to send a message.

"There's no point to vandalism. It’s not going to change how we vote, not going to make me take the sticker off my car. It sure doesn't make the Republican Party look good. There's nothing to be gained," she said.

Fortunately, the woman said her Homeowners' Association will pay for all the repairs.

Boise Police confirmed with us they are looking into the incident.
