The Nampa Police Department wnat to take you "Behind the Badge" to introduce you to the officers serving the community.
The goal of the social media campaign is to put a face with the name of the person wearing the badge.
The campaign started this week and features NPD officers showing off what they do that makes them just like the residents they serve.
"We're very lucky," Cpl. Jason Jones says. "Our community is very supportive of our police department, and that fact is not lost on anybody in our building."
Jones will be featured in an upcoming post wearing his lacrosse gear. Jones plays and coaches lacrosse in the community.
"It is always good for them to know that we're people too," Jones says. "We experience the same things they do, we just show up in their lives randomly when a call for service comes up... and I think it's an opportunity for us to show our softer side, for lack of a better term."
