A Nampa Police Department detective says a man who engaged in an illicit relationship with an underage teenager took videos of their sexual activities.

Court records say Booker T. Collins, 37, of Nampa, had “a sexual relationship over the last several months” with the girl. Police believe the relationship ran from early August to early October.

The girl’s name was not released.

The victim confessed to her mother that the relationship had occurred. The mother then contacted police, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

“During the initial interview, (the victim) also disclosed that Collins had made videos of them while they had sex,” Nampa Police Detective Curtis Carper wrote in the affidavit.

With the victims’ cooperation, police say they accessed her e-mail accounts and found “several e-mails contained extremely sexual(ly)-oriented content” from Collins. One e-mail reportedly told the victim to “get in the shower and send pictures (to him),” records show.

Collins reportedly admitted to detectives of “having an ongoing sexual relationship with (the victim) and producing videos of him and (the victim) engaged in sexual activity.”

Police say they found the illicit videos on Collins’ phone.

Collins was booked into the Canyon County Jail Tuesday, charged with sexual battery of a minor and sexual exploitation of a child.

Police do not believe there are any other victims.
