Mountain Home Police say they have arrested a 39-year-old man for sexual abuse and exploitation of a vulnerable adult.

Victor Jagerstatter was booked into the Elmore County Jail at 11 a.m. Friday, according to a jail supervisor.

Neither police nor Elmore County Deputy Prosecutor Jessica Kuehn would provide additional details.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise website shows Father Victor F. Jagerstatter as the priest of the Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Parish in Mountain Home. A voicemail greeting says the parish serves Mountain Home, Glenns Ferry, Grandview and Bureau.

Calls and e-mail inquiries to the Diocese and the Parish were not immediately returned.

Jagerstatter is scheduled to make his initial court appearance Monday, according to Kuehn.

A Mountain Home Police news release says the case in still under investigation.
