A Meridian woman is working to help the chronically homeless this holiday season and she's asking for help. Real estate agent, Kristi Jordan has set up donations boxes around the Treasure Valley where people can donate goods. She's calling them "Branom's boxes" after her son.

"All of us, especially in today's economy, is this close to being in major peril financially and once that happens, it can snowball," said Kristi Jordan who is helping the homeless this winter.

While many shelters offer goods and services, Kristi says many homeless avoid shelters for a variety of reasons. From socks and gloves to feminine hygiene products, hand warmers, and emergency blankets, Kristi is asking for it all. She and other volunteers plan to hand out the donations a week before Christmas to let Boise's homeless know they are not forgotten this holiday season.

"Really what most of these people want is just to feel like a valuable person and that takes time and we should all take the time to do that," said Jordan

You can find the donations boxes at the Sun Ray Cafe in Boise's North End, the Cactus Bar downtown, or French Nails in Meridian by the Fred Meyer on Fairview. You Can also help out by clicking here.
