Meridian Police officers are looking for the public’s help in locating a man who stole an iPad from the RC Willey store on Eagle Road earlier this month.

The theft occurred June 7th, according to RC Willey Corporate Loss Prevention Inventory Manager Ty Douglas.

The thief “knew what he was doing,” Douglas said. The iPad was secured by a heavy-duty cable and box, a security device known as a “spider wrap.” “But (the suspect) must’ve had a tool to cut the cable with,” Douglas stated.

Store surveillance video shows the suspect lingering near the counter near the iPad. The man appears careful not to be seen directly by surveillance cameras. “He then disappears and exits the store (after the theft),” Douglas said.

The iPad was valued between $500 and $700, he added.

If you know anything about the crime, you are urged to call the Meridian Police Department at 888-6678 or Crimestoppers at 343-COPS.
