Melba woman, Nampa teen hospitalized after late night head-on collision south of Nampa

Two drivers, a Melba woman and a Nampa teenager, are hospitalized after a two-car collision south of Nampa Saturday night. 

Police say at approximately 11:23 p.m. Saturday, the Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash southbound SH45 at Big Foot Road.

Teodoro Rodriguez, 34, of Melba, was driving southbound on SH45 in a 1997 Toyota Camry. A juvenile was driving northbound on SH45 in a 1997 Ford Ranger.

Rodriguez crossed over the center line and struck the juvenile's vehicle head on.

Rodriguez was taken by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

The juvenile was wearing their seatbelt and taken by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Nampa.

The highway was blocked for approximately 2.5 hours.
