Oscar-wnninng actor Matt Damon is scheduled to make what will be his third visit to the Treasure Valley later this year.

According to the Idaho Statesman, Damon is set to appear at the premiere showing of “Jason Bourne,” the fifth installment of the action film franchise about an assassin trying to learn about his past after losing his memory.

The film will be shown at the Village Cinema at Fairview Avenue and Eagle Road in Meridian July 20th, as a fundraiser for the Treasure Valley YMCA. The organization is in the process of building a new facility in south Meridian.

Damon appeared twice before in the Boise area; in 2002, for the showing of “The Bourne Identity” and again in 2007 for the showing of “The Bourne Ultimatum,” the Statesman reported

Damon is set to appear with well-known film producer Frank Marshall who, with his wife Kathleen Kennedy, has strong ties to the Boise area and the Treasure Valley YMCA.

Tickets are expected to go on sale before the end of the month, the paper said.
