The Boise School District made history Thursday night.

After 95 years of educating pregnant and parenting girls, the Marian Pritchett School graduated its first teen dad.

Roboam Villalobos says he did not want to be the center of attention.

His desire to attend Marian Pritchett was simple; he wanted to be around his daughter and learn to be a better father.

Villalobos says he considered dropping out of school, but he decided to stick it out through graduation because he wants to provide a good life for his daughter.

The ceremony also included a speech by a graduate who just gave birth on Monday.

In all, eight students earned diplomas, and they all plan to go on to some kind of postsecondary education.
