COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) -- Authorities have arrested a man in eastern Washington they say forced a northern Idaho man to eat a fatal dose of methamphetamine.
The Spokesman-Review reports the Spokane County Sheriff's Department arrested 43-year-old Shaun Patrick Kelly on Friday.
He's being held without bond -- and has agreed to be extradited to Kootenai County -- where he faces charges of second-degree murder, aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Authorities say that Kelly last August forced 22-year-old Evan Mychal Larkin at gunpoint to eat a lethal dose of meth to prove he wasn't a police informant.
Larkin began foaming at the mouth and died three days later.
Larkin is the grandson of Clay Larkin, who served as the Post Falls mayor for thirteen years.
