An 18-year-old man now faces a number of charges, including enticing a minor over the Internet, after Meridian Police say he offered to meet an underage girl for sex.

Officers say Trystin Lee Blumenshine arranged to meet a 15-year-old girl at an establishment in the 700 block of West Overland Road Thursday, after corresponding with her on Facebook.

However, when Blumenshine arrived at the establishment, police were waiting there to arrest him -– because the 15-year-old girl he had met on-line was actually an undercover police officer, posing as a teenager.

Police said Blumenshine began corresponding with the officer on September 30th.

He was booked into the Ada County Jail on a felony charge of enticing a minor over the Internet. He also faces two misdemeanors -– possessing a controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
