Making the grade literacy launch

 Every Idaho school district has devoped a new, individualized plan to help their students learn to read. 

 Last session the legislature set aside just over nine million dollars for literacy programs. The state is giving local districts control over how to spend the money. This week the State Board of Education started to review the reading plans and its obvious most districts have long term goals. Districts also have very different priorities. Some want to add teachers to help struggling readers, while others will buy more technology.
