Staring Thursday night through the weekend, you can expect Downtown Boise to be hopping with Indie music lovers for the 2nd Annual Treefort Festival.

There will be thousands of fans from all over the country, walking around, checking out performances, shopping, eating and staying at area hotels.

With music on full blast, bands from all across the country are set to bring down the house at 13 different venues in Downtown Boise this year.

Many local shops, bars and hotels in Boise are also supporting the event and looking forward to the spike in their businesses.

Record Exchange Co-owner Jil Sevy said her shop is doing a Secret Treefort In-stores until Sunday, where people do not know which artist is performing until actual day of the performance.

Last year, over a hundred bands performed, and for this year, more than 270 bands will be rocking out. Fans can look forward to some popular local bands as well, such as Youth Lagoon, Built to Spill and Finn Riggins.

This weekend, organizers will shut down Grove Street from 12th to 13th Street for food trucks, so music lovers can enjoy some great food and mingle.
