Three arrested in Nyssa on drug-related charges
The Malheur County Sheriff’s Office and other local law enforcement agencies have arrested three people on drug-related charges.
According to Malheur County Sheriff’s Office Undersheriff Travis Johnson, officers arrested Roy Gomez, 50, Roy Gomez, Jr. , 31 and Cheyanne Tyler, 20, about 11 a.m. Tuesday. All were living at a home in the 100 block of Ennis Ave. in Nyssa.
All three were charged with possession, manufacture, and delivery of a controlled substance.
Tyler was also charged with assaulting a public safety officer for slipping off her handcuffs and then kicking an Oregon State Police trooper. Johnson said the woman she was then tazed and resecured.
Gomez Jr. was taken by federal agents and will also be facing firearms charges.
Johnson said a fourth subject who was walking near the suspect house was arrested for parole violations.
A search warrant on the house yielded $1,800 cash and 16.5 grams of meth.
An investigation and arrests were a joint effort with the High Desert Drug Enforcement Task Force, the Treasure Valley Metro Violent Crime Task Force, the Malheur County Sheriff, the Oregon State Police, and the Nyssa Police Department.
A second house on Airport Hill in Canyon County was also raided by authorities. No word yet on what officers found there
