Boise man charged with stabbing friend at a Boise park
William Roberts, 45, of Boise has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Boise dog park Tuesday night.
Police responded to the park near Roosevelt and Latah Streets about 9 p.m., on a report that a battery had taken place there.
The unidentified victim, who notified police from a Boise hospital where he was being treated for his injuries, said he went to the park to meet a friend.
“The two men became involved in a confrontation over an ongoing personal dispute, according to the victim. At one point, the suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim,” said Boise Police spokeswoman Lynn Hightower.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, she added.
Detectives located the Roberts later that evening and, after an investigation, he was transported to the Ada County Jail a booked on a charge of felony aggravated battery.
