UPDATE: man arrested for lewd conduct with minor after standoff
Nampa Police arrested 52-year-old Patrick Michael Massie for lewd conduct with a minor after a standoff on Sunday afternoon. Police were investigating a child abuse case and received a search warrant for Massie’s home. He would not come to the door or let investigators inside.
Officers received information that Massie had several firearms but he did not make any direct threats. The Nampa Police Tactical Response Teams and the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) were called to the scene and evacuated several homes. Police advised everyone to stay away from the area until the situation was resolved.
After about 50 minutes Massie surrendered and came out of his home. He was booked into Canyon County Jail without bond. Massie is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.
Police say the area is now safe for residents to return to their homes.
