Skier dies at Sun Valley Resort
38-year-old Melanie Kendall died while skiing at Sun Valley’s Resort’s Bald Mountain after hitting a tree.
At about 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Kendall was found unconscious near the Roundhouse Land ski track. Authorities say she was wearing a helmet and skiing alone, there were no witnesses to the accident.
Paramedics and Sun Valley Ski Patrol attempted to save Kendall’s life, she was brought to St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center.
