Idaho toddler dies of 'trauma related' injuries
MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho (AP) -- The Ada County Coroner's office says a toddler from Mountain Home has died of trauma related injuries and police say they've arrested a man in connection with the death.
The 22-month-old Mountain Home boy's name has not yet been released, nor has the specific cause of his death. Police were called to a residence in Mountain Home Tuesday afternoon by someone who had concerns about an unresponsive child.
The toddler was taken to a Boise hospital where he died. Ada County prosecutors say the child sustained a broken leg, skull fractures, bruises and swelling of the brain.
Police say 20-year-old Richard Ryan Laubach was arrested early Wednesday morning on a warrant out of Elmore County charging him with felony injury to a child. He is being held on $500,000 bond.
