Big night for schools: levies pass in Nampa, Payette, Horseshoe Bend

It was a big night for schools across the Treasure Valley as voters took to the polls in four separate districts and passed levies for three of them.

In Nampa voters signed off on a levy to shore up a $4.3 million hole in its budget by a vote of 4,807 to 1,732.

Middleton voters did not approve a $250,000 a year levy for 10 years by a vote of 417 to 276. A 66 percent majority was needed for the levy to pass.

The Horseshoe Bend School District received a one year $300,000 levy by a vote of 289 to 238.

The Payette School District's two year $1.39 million passed 1,078 to 605.
