Man arrested for threatening friend with a knife and a frying pan
A Boise man is in the Ada County Jail after reportedly threatening another man with a knife and a frying pan.
Police were called to a home on West Boise Avenue near Chrisway Drive about 8:30 Monday night for a reported fight with a knife.
Police say the victim, fearing for his safety, had locked himself in a room and called 9-1-1.
Officers helped the victim get safely out of the home.
They then found Westberry, who appeared intoxicated, in a back room. After investigating, officers say they found evidence the man had used a butcher knife and a frying pan to threaten the victim, who is a friend of his.
Shortly after 10:00 p.m., Westberry was arrested and booked on a felony aggravated assault charge.
