Crash ignites bridge and blocks traffic
Sunday Morning at 11:30 a.m. Idaho State Police responded to a call involving a crash that ignited the Snake River Bridge near the Declo/Albion exit on I-84.
Manuel Maynez, a 49-year old of El Paso, Texas was traveling westbound in a 2013 Volvo semi-truck. He drove off the right shoulder and hit the guardrail. One of the fuel tanks ignited and ignited the side of the bridge.
Both westbound lanes were blocked for two and a half hours. Maynez driver was wearing his seat belt and was not injured.
