Former BPD Medal of Honor recipient under investigation
One of Boise Police Department's most honored deputies could face federal charges. Rob Berrier is accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a female informant while working undercover with the BANDIT Drug Task Force.
Berrier is one of only 14-officers to be awarded the Boise Police Department’s Medal of Honor. He was a contributing officer in high-profile drug investigations such as Operation Night Rider, leading to multiple arrests relating to methamphetamine trafficking in the Treasure Valley.
Berrier resigned from the Boise Police Department in 2011. The FBI is currently investigating the case.
