Former Canyon County Prosecutor returns to court
Former Canyon County Prosecutor, John Bujak returns to court on Monday for a second trial on charges of Misusing Public Funds. His first trial was deadlocked; jurors could not come to a unanimous decision.
The former Prosecutor is accused of taking over $200,000 of public money while in office. The money came from a contract to prosecute misdemeanors in Nampa. If convicted he could spend up to 14-years in prison.
Bujak faces other felony charges for grand theft and falsifying evidence. Those trials are scheduled to begin later this year.
