BREAKING: Police investigate west Boise crash
Boise Police are investigating a crash in a residential neighborhood near Cole and Overland Roads that has possibly resulted in at least one death.
As of late Saturday afternoon, few details were being released.
Shortly after 2 p.m., Ada County dispatchers sent emergency crews to the 7800 block of Hummel Drive on a report of a vehicle into a structure, and that the vehicle was on fire. Reports indicated that one person was trapped in the house by the flames.
When crews arrived, they learned a car had crashed into a backyard shed.
Witness in the neighborhood tells us they heard at least one shot being fired, although police would not confirm that report.
The Ada Country Coroner is on the scene.
We have a reporter following the story, and will have more details as they become available.
