Garden City Police arrest man for Grand Theft and Burglary after pursuit
At 11:30pm on February 28, Garden City Police observed a 1972 pickup without its headlights on. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled engaging in a short pursuit then abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.
Investigators identified the driver as Craig W. Bowers, age 42- of Golden, Colorado. They located Bowers at a convenience store and he was taken into custody. The pickup had been stolen from a nearby business prior to the pursuit.
Bower’s was booked into Ada County Jail for Grand Theft and Burglary. He was also issued citations for: Driving Without Privileges Eluding, Resisting and Obstructing an Officers, and Malicious Injury to Property.
Bower’s is scheduled for arraignment on Monday March, 4, 2013 at 1:30pm.
