Fred Meyer Stores issues recall on bread items
A bakery in Clackamas, Oregon issued a recall on a number of bread items sold in Fred Meyer Stores between February 22nd and February 25th.
The bakery facility recently discovered that these products may contain pieces of plastic. They are unsure how this occurred, but the bakery is currently investigating.
Fred Meyer has not heard from customers whether or not they have discovered pieces of plastic in bread purchased at Fred Meyer Stores, but the chain is taking extra precautions by issuing the recall along with the bakery.
Bread items were delivered to Fred Meyer Stores in Idaho, Oregon and Washington and were delivered on Friday, February 22, Sunday, February 24 and Monday, February 25.
All affected product has been pulled from Fred Meyer shelves. All Fred Meyer Rewards card holders who purchased this product will receive a phone message alerting them to this recall.
The recall is for the following bread items:
- Kroger Value Wheat Bread
- QFC Tender Twist Wheat Bread
- Fred Meyer Tender Twist Honey Cracked Wheat Bread
- Fred Meyer Tender Twist 100% Whole Wheat Bread
- Fred Meyer Tender Twist Wheat Bread
Customers who purchased bread recently at Fred Meyer Stores can bring the product to the nearest store for refund or exchange.
