Legislation to spread food stamp distribution across the first 10 days of each moth has been pulled from the senate.  It is going back to committee for reconsideration.

Republican Senator Lee Heider of Twin Falls asked his peers to return the bill earlier this month.  Just after the Senate Health and Welfare Committee approved it with at 6-3 vote.

A similar bill failed last year.  Supporters say issuing food stamps one day each month creates chaos, long lines, and inventory problems at grocery stores across the state.
